Sandy, a native of Cuenca, holds a degree in Tourism from Universidad del Azuay and brings more than 20 years of experience to her field. She is passionate about international education and relations, viewing them as a means to connect diverse cultures, languages, and people. In her free time, Sandy enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and meeting new people. She also loves watching movies and cherishes moments spent with family and close friends. Her travels have taken her throughout Ecuador and to countries including the United States, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Spain, Germany, and France.

Elisabeth has been part of Foundation CEDEI for over 14 years, starting as the Director of CEDEI’s English Program, a role she held for 12 years. She greatly values her close connections with both teachers and students. With a master’s degree in English Language Teaching from the University of Reading, England, her professional passions include language teaching, program management, and academic writing. Now serving as CEDEI’s General Academic Director, Elisabeth is dedicated to advancing the founders’ vision by fostering cultural and academic exchanges that enrich our understanding of the diverse peoples and cultures across the Americas.

Tania Uyaguari Academic and Host Family Coordinator

Tania, from San Bartolomé in the province of Azuay, has been a vital part of CEDEI’s International Programs since June 2005. She began her journey as a Spanish teacher, a role she found immensely rewarding. In 2008, Tania was promoted to Academic Coordinator, and in 2023, she expanded her responsibilities to include coordinating activities with our host families.
