Sandy Bravo: Director of International Programs. Email: sandybravo@cedei.org 

Sandy Bravo is the Director of International Programs. Sandy is from Cuenca and holds a degree in Tourism from Universidad del Azuay and has more than 20 years of experience in the field. Sandy loves the experience of working in the field of international education and relations as a way to bring together cultures, languages, and peoples!.
She loves to travel and try the local food. Sandy loves to meet new people and get new experiences. She likes movies, spending time with her family and close friends. She has traveled all around Ecuador, and also to EEUU, Mexico, Peru, Brasil, Argentina, Chile, Spain, Germany and France.

Elisabeth Rodas: General Academic Director. Email: erodas@cedei.org

Elisabeth Rodas is currently the General Academic Director of Foundation CEDEI’s Program. Previously, she was the Director of CEDEI’s English Programs for twelve years and enjoyed having direct interaction with teachers and students alike. She holds a master’s degree  in English language teaching from Reading University, England, and is also an Adjunct Professor in the Institute of Languages at the Universidad de Cuenca. Her interests include language teaching, program administration, and academic writing in general. She has conducted research at the university level having to do with the use of writing groups to promote dialogic spaces and faculty development. Her work has been published in several international journals. As General Academic Director she hopes to continue with the vision of CEDEI’s founders: to promote cultural and academic exchanges that broaden our understanding of the peoples and cultures of the Americas. 

Tania Uyaguari: Academic Coordinator. Email: tuyaguari@cedei.org

Tania Uyaguari is from the town of San Bartolomé from the province of Azuay. She has a degree in Business Administration from Universidad de Cuenca. Tania started began working at CEDEI International Programs in June 2005. During the first years she was a Spanish teacher, which she labels as a great professional experience.  In 2008 she was promoted to Academic Coordinator, the position that currently she performs.

Diana Montesdeoca Mejía: Homestay Coordinator. Email: dianamontesdeoca@cedei.org

Diana Montesdeoca is from Cuenca, Ecuador. She studied at the University of Azuay and graduated as a Systems Engineer.  In addition, she also studied Tourism at the Faculty of Hospitality Sciences of the University of Cuenca.  She lived for a few years in the U.S. (New York, New Jersey and Phoenix, Arizona).  Her passion is learning languages, she has learned Mandarin and Italian.  She has worked for the Administration Departament of several private companies. She has around 10 years of knowledge about host families: the support, assistance, security and hospitality that should be offered to foreign students. Her goal at the International Programs Office is to provide students with wonderful experiences, integrating them into the family dynamics and making them feel at home.

Javier was born in Ecuador but migrated to the United States as a child. After graduating from college, he worked for a few years in the United States before returning to Ecuador.
He was always curious about meeting people from different cultures, and who speak other languages. It encouraged him to travel and meet people from around the world. Some countries he has visited include Canada, Mexico, Spain, Italy, France, Thailand, and Japan. As well as some countries in South America. Machu Picchu anyone?
At CEDEI, he hopes to help students broaden their cultural experience, and promote a global perspective of cultural and social values. 


Camila Cobeña:

Camila Cobeña was born in Santa Elena, Ecuador. She moved to Cuenca five years ago, after decided to study Psychology at Universidad de Cuenca. Besides Psychology, she is passionate about social causes and learning about other cultures, so she decided to apply to be a local guide in "Free Walking Tours Cuenca" during September 2019. Also she was part of many other organizations as a volunteer in "Reciclaje Comunitario Ballenita" and "Salud Mental Ecuador" during the past years. She enjoys painting, spending time with her loved ones, or walking during her free time.
